About QARC
QARC — Quantum & AI Research Cell is a student-led research cell — an initiative of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology (SSIT), Tumakuru. It breaks away from conventional college student clubs, operating as an autonomous research cell that fosters hands-on experimentation and academic output under the guidance of faculty coordinators.
01 · Vision
To bridge theoretical computer science, quantum physics, and generative AI into real-world innovation, prototypes, and publications.
02 · Mission
Dedicated to advanced Quantum Algorithms, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and interdisciplinary innovation, driven by a student-led research ecosystem under faculty guidance.
Milestones
The Idea & Vision Early 2026 — QARC Concept
A student-driven vision was proposed to create a dedicated platform for exploring Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence at SSIT, bringing together students interested in emerging technologies and research.
Official Recognition — QARC Established under CSE
The proposal was presented to the Principal of SSIT and received approval to establish QARC as a recognized student cell under the Department of Computer Science & Engineering.
Screening & Member Selection — First Screening Test
A campus-wide screening test was conducted to identify students with strong interest and aptitude in Quantum Computing and AI. 120+ students participated, with 40+ students selected to become the founding members of QARC.
NVIDIA Learning Initiative — Industry Learning Opportunity
QARC reached out to NVIDIA to provide structured learning opportunities for its members. NVIDIA responded positively, providing access to relevant courses and certificates for QARC members, creating an industry-oriented learning pathway.
